Discovery II Steering Protector
The most vulnerable parts of a Land
Rover off road are the front differential housing
(the lowest point on the truck) and the steering
tie rods. A well placed rock can render the steering
or diff inoperable, a serious crimp on a fun day.
BP now stocks just the right gear to save those delicate
components.
The steering protector bolts to existing
mounts on your truck: bumper and steering box, grade
8 hardware included. The average do it yourselfer
can fit one in an hour or so: no cutting, welding,
or drilling required! The braces are coated in black
vinyl to resist rock chips, and the aluminium skid
plate is replaceable in case of damage. The plate
is also reinforced with a box section steel brace.
It's strong but not too heavy, and it's affordable:
perfect for most off roaders.

Discovery II Snorkel Kit
Safari Snorkels raised air intake connects to your stock
air filter housing. Used on trails to keep the air filter
from getting clogged with dust. Similar types are used on
diesel models for deep water, but Land Rover V8's must keep
the creek level at hub depth to prevent electronics from
being damaged. Sure looks cool, too!
It does require cutting sheet metal and drilling screw holes,

Discovery II Side Steps
ARB, makers of bull bars, have a terrific set of side
steps available for your Disco II. They're better looking
than the Genuine ones: all metal with aluminium tread plate,
it has a better non slip surface for bad weather or mud.
The tubular bars are stronger than most, providing some
rock protection as well. Check out the heavy duty construction:

Discovery II Roof Rack
 
It's a beauty: well made, low slung,
tough.
ARB's half rack adds cargo capacity, especially important
when your truck has jump seats. Full racks are great for
lots of gear, but they generate hellacious wind noise at
freeway speed. They are almost impossible to remove for
temporary work. And the weight permitted by Land Rover
on the roof is restricted to 110lb. on road and only 66
off road, and this includes the rack! Why waste half your
load capacity in the weight of the rack? Requires some
assembly, but UPS-able, which reduces shipping costs. Basket
size: 43 x 49", may not clear your garage or carport.

Old Man Emu Suspension
The vehicle shown above is fitted with
Emu springs and shocks: notice the wheel well clearance
and ride height. You'll pick up about 1.5" of ride
height over stock, improve axle articulation, reduce body
roll, and all without exceeding critical angles or adding
stiffness to the ride. BP has sold thousands of sets! Click

Discovery II Bull Bars
ARB in Australia makes what we consider
to be the best general purpose bull bar on the market.
They replace the stock bumper to provide superior protection
for the delicate plastic and aluminium parts up front.
Not only for off road use, they are particularly good for
deer or snowbanks, or the crazy drivers who don't look
while backing up. ARB bars are lighter than others, while
