ARB has developed a good looking, heavy
duty replacement for our popular "RONO" half racks.
Tough enough to handle over 200 lbs, yet small enough to
not overly restrict vertical clearance: stands only 8" above
the roof at it's highest point. Perfect for extra suitcases,
jerrycans, and tools. Adjustable 'feet' can allow it to clear
rear sunroofs as well.
Short racks reduce wind roar by a ton over
full length styles, and using mandrel bent round tubes in
the basket also helps reduce noise. If you've ever been in
a vehicle with a full rack, you know just how noisy they
are at 65 mph!
This rack requires common carrier freight
at extra cost: inquire with delivery address for a quote.
Rack weight is 80 lbs., so two guys can
fit it pretty easily. Full installation instructions are
included, as is hardware: all you need is an 11mm and 13mm
wrench, no special tools or drilling required. Including
assembly of the supports, you'll have it out of the box and
mounted in about an hour. Removal after assembly is easy
(4 bolts) for storage when not required.

Construction is heavy duty, as
you would expect from Australia's top off road component
producer. It's finished with gray powder coating for
superior rust protection, and it uses full perimeter
welds, not the cheaper 'spot' welding found on lower
priced racks. The feet are wide and adjustable for
camber, and it comes with rubber pads for both the
drip rail and the clamps, to prevent scratching your
truck. In the photo on the above left, you can see
the full length drip rail pads attached to the basket
deck. |

Range Rover, LR3, and Freelander Roof Rack Systems
Since the 1995 model year Range Rovers use an integral
roof rail system. This is similar to the systems
that come on most SUV's. You cannot use a clamp-on
style rack that attaches to a drip rail, since these
models do not have one.
The systems vary a bit by model, but each require
a crossbar set first, to which different baskets
and carriers can be mounted.
